- a short piece in 'Voix' section. Now you lot, presumably you make tape or CD compliations of your own to listen to GN in the car or walkman. Come on, some of you must - it's not illegal if it's for your own use (don't quote me on that I'm usually wrong). So what would be your ideal combination of tracks? Prompted by buying yet another new cheapie GN compilation CD yesterday I was wondering that if I thought the particular track listing on the CD was somewhat iffy then what would be an ideal mix?
Presumably as always the answer is in the ear of the beholder, and we all have differing tastes. So what compilation would you make for a single cd (say 15 tracks max) for the following (a) slow tracks, (b) Sacrifice & beyond, (c) commercial, (d) Early (1977-1981), and the hardest of all (e) one cd where you could choose tracks from throughout Gary's career - i.e. wider than Exposure. You could include Sharpe & Numan, Da Da wotsit, the Metal Rhythm-Outland era, Warriors etc - but would you? A good question. Perhaps that's a cue for a competition or survey??? Or should I leave that to sites who are good at surveys and quizzes - yes perhaps I should just return to showing my own pics and my usual inane banter. (You decide - ring 020 8000 1234 1 for 'yes' or 020 8000 1234 2 for 'shut up Ashley')

the ashleyx numan site is cobbled together using php, bits of old string and some woodglue; it's declared purpose is to entertain the ever-increasing band of Gary Numan fans - all photographic illusions on this site have been taken by the "Mysterious" (ha) Ashley X himself using common-or-garden kit dating way back to 2005 and in some cases... earlier - and all textual waffle is from the own fair brain of said Mr X dating back to 1996 in some cases (look and see how this man has simply not progressed in a decade)
