- Well, finally got the new Warriors and I Assassin CDs home and started to listen to them. Now, is there a funny start to the 'This House Is Cold' or is it the same as before? Is 'This Is My House' the best track ever???? (Will we see it in Feb live? - the CD notes seem to hint that; along with 'A Dream of Siam' so let's hope Mr Malins knows something there) - and is 'Nameless and Forgotten' the most appropriately-named track ever? As a track it's like listening to that Call Out The Dogs half-finished version and it's fascinating to hear a song half-completed but I wonder what the general listening public will make of it? Still, it's a piece of fun, a piece of music and not something we should get hot under the collar about!
Quite what we are supposed to think about Alan Partridge hamming up a scene set to 'Music for Chameleons' I don't know! Last night's episode (9th Dec, the 5th in a series of 6) had Alan air-guitar-ing to the track, both during the show (as the tax-inspectors arrived) and as the music over the closing credits. It was amusing, and I'll never listen to the track again without thinking 'A-ha' !!!
And who's this Dr Charles Render? The sleeve notes for Warriors are well worth a read if you want to know the origins of the tracks! And with that I'll leave you for now and get back to my air-guitaring.
