14 Aug '02 - So how many of you lent your Exposure CDs out to non-believers? I'd be interested to hear opinions from people who bought Exposure or Rip as their first Numan purchase. And how many of you have, over the years, made up compilation tapes for people, or burned cds with a selection of Gary's material. I'm sure I tried to impress someone who I knew liked the saxaphone (she played one) by making a tape with tracks such as Mistasax 1 and Unknown and Hostile etc - but then the inclusion of Bridge? What Bridge caused some interest. So it's (a) what tracks inspired interest from others, with comments like 'I thought it was all like Cars until I heard that' or (b) what tracks initially got YOU interested in all things Numan? As for me it was hearing the B side of Complex on a pub juke-box that got me hooked! My younger sister was already into Numan and the Pleasure Principle cassette I bought then is still in perfect condition! <
