The Night Before
Only a few hours of sleep to go now before I get the album. It's released on the 13th but is that midnight? Are there stores opening at midnight so we can do this? Hang on it's Gary Numan not Harry Potter! And as for ordering my copy of Jagged on Amazon or Play so it could hopefully be delivered before the Monday I didn't even try to do so - yes it may work with Dr Who DVDs but I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow like everyone else bar the press and those close in.
So maybe I should have asked the record company for an early copy saying that ashleyx.com is a some great site where all releases are reviewed or I work for a newspaper or magazine. As if! No I shall have my copy just before I step on the train to go to work if my plan goes well tomorrow morning and I will listen to a couple of tracks on the train if all goes well, and then some at lunch if I have one, and then on the way to the signing...
if all goes well that is!
There's meant to be heavy penalties for records being sold before the proper release date my contact at Atomic Sounds (well, he IS Atomic Sounds) tells me. He will only sell it to me on the Monday and not before even if he gets it delivered before so I'd like to hear if anyone got it delivered before Monday by Amazon etc... Good on you, Atomic!
p.s. just heard The Leather Sea on Ade Fenton's website which features Gary and so now I have another track to add to those already circling inside my head amongst the other downloads and live tracks and off-the-radio copies all trying to confuse me in advance of tomorrow!
