Not long now 'til we get to see some of these recent concerts on DVD. Time to show them to the friends relatives and other 'non-believers' you may have skulking round the fringes of your numan-existence. There are some out there who have no idea what a Numan concert is like - they colour their judgement with memories of Gary on Top of the Pops back in the eighties - forgetting of course he was on the show just a year or so ago with a chart single. When you get your 'official bootleg' DVD or 'it's not knocked off I bought this off Numan Inc, honest' then show them some footage from the most powerful moments and see what they say....
The quality will astound, as I'm sure these new DVDs will be excellent, a step up from the last concert footage we had, more in the vein of RIP and Crazier than Machine & Soul. Great that Gary is doing this - I've never seen one of these bootlegs that are around apparently and would imagine the quality is ropey. Judging by watching the camerawork at the last concert in London I should imagine the editing on Gary's DVDs was fun to do; with good choices of shot for each part of the song, and good tracking of the man and the band - still, we'll see if the energy and emotion has been captured and there'll be a great advert for the Numan experience out there before long...
